The InfoByData SEO Checker is a free tool that reviews the on-page SEO basics of any public page in seconds: title, meta description, headings, canonical, indexing, images, links, Open Graph and structured data. To show what it finds, we used it on the home pages of 10 Chilean online stores and cyber.cl, the same sites whose speed we measured in our comparison of websites for Black Friday 2026.

The result: all of them cover the essentials (HTTPS and a mobile version), but 7 of 11 show no H1 in the HTML the server returns, and two sites have more serious errors.

What the SEO Checker reviews

You just type in a page's address. The tool downloads its HTML, as a search engine would, and returns a point-by-point review:

Check What it reviews Recommendation
Title Whether it exists and its length 50 to 60 characters
Meta description Whether it exists and its length 150 to 160 characters
H1 and H2 How many headings there are and what they say A single H1 per page
Canonical Which address it points to Usually, the page itself
Indexing Whether the page asks not to be indexed (noindex) Indexable
HTTPS and mobile version Secure connection and viewport tag Both present
Language and hreflang The declared language and its versions Language declared
Images How many lack alt text All with alt
Links Internal, external and nofollow For information
Open Graph Title and image for social media Both present
Structured data Schema types and whether they have errors No errors

The most relevant findings from the SEO Checker:

  • Líder: the canonical points to walmart.com. The lider.cl home page tells Google that its preferred version is Walmart's US home page. Google treats the canonical as a hint and does not always follow it, but it is a contradictory signal. Its title, "Mundo Lider", is also only 11 characters long.
  • Sodimac: structured data with errors. We found malformed schema (JSON-LD) blocks that search engines cannot read, alongside correct ones.
  • Seven pages with no H1 in the HTML: abc, Easy, Falabella, Hites, Jumbo, Paris and PC Factory. Some may add it later with JavaScript, but the main heading is not in the code search engines receive on the first read.
  • Descriptions that are too long: abc (173 characters), Hites (173), Easy (164) and PC Factory (196) exceed 160, so Google will probably cut them off in the results.
  • Images without alt text: PC Factory has 35 of 81 images without alt, and Hites 22 of 281.
  • No image for social media: Hites, Jumbo, Líder, Sodimac and cyber.cl do not declare og:image, the image shown when the link is shared on social networks or messaging apps.
Page Title (characters) Meta description (characters) H1 Canonical Images without alt
abc 33 173 0 Itself 2 of 96

Falabella 54 149 0 Itself 5 of 66
Hites 57 173 0 Itself 22 of 281
Jumbo 32 135 0 Itself 10 of 130

Sodimac 51 149 1 Itself 15 of 140

Ripley is not in the review: its site responded with a block (403 error) to automated checks, which is common on sites with bot protection.

How to use the SEO Checker on your site

  1. Go to the SEO Checker and type the address of the page you want to review, such as your home page or your best-selling product.
  2. Look first at the red items (something essential is missing, such as the title or permission to index) and then the yellow ones (something can be improved, such as a length out of range).
  3. Fix and check again. If your site builds its content with JavaScript, keep in mind that the tool reads the HTML returned by the server.

The SEO Checker reviews the on-page basics; speed is measured separately, with tools such as Lighthouse. If your traffic has changed in recent months, match the dates against our report on Google updates in 2026, and go over the on-page SEO best practices and how to optimize SEO for online stores.

Websites change all the time. InfoByData will run these pages through the SEO Checker again before Black Friday and update the results.

What it means for you

  1. If you run an online store: run your home page and main categories through the SEO Checker before November 27; fixing a title or a canonical takes minutes.
  2. If you work in SEO: canonical and structured data errors show up even on large sites; check them after every platform change or redesign.
  3. If you do social media marketing: make sure your pages declare og:image, so your links show an image when shared.
